Clients are an integral part of your business; they’re likely one of your biggest referral sources and have the ability to make or break your business. We all appreciate our clients, but how often do we tell them? A small gesture goes a long way in increasing the loyalty of your clientele and a simple “thank you” is always welcomed.
Happy employees are the backbone of your business. When employees feel appreciated, it shows in their work and overall productivity.
The cost of employee turnover is exponentially higher than the cost of showing your appreciation.
This holiday season spread the love! Because budget is a major factor in determining corporate gifts, we’ve narrowed it down to a few of our favorites. There are excellent options for many price ranges and relationships.
A few things to keep in mind when selecting your gifts….
» Make sure your gifts are appropriate for the client or employee. Employees that are mostly underage, likely would not benefit from a crystal decanter set.
» Be unique and personal! Pens are great if you’re needing to distribute to mass quantities, but chances are, they’re not memorable or special. Consider a conversation piece or something work appropriate. A journalist might really appreciate a nice Moleskine journal whereas a lawyer might get more use out of a new Bulova watch.
» Always check with your accountant and HR first. Many times gifts are tax-deductible, but you don’t want to violate any terms that could land you in hot water. Never give during a bidding process, or any circumstances that could be deemed inappropriate.
